Molise Sweet Sausage
Molise sweet sausage is made with selected lean cuts (boned shoulder, ham trimmings, and under-shoulder) plus a portion of pancetta, from pure Italian pork raised and processed in our facilities. The mixture is seasoned with salt, ground chili pepper, and natural aromas, carefully balanced.
Perfect as a quick main course with oil-preserved vegetables and rustic bread, it is also ideal for charcuterie boards and sandwiches.
It is very versatile in the kitchen: try it in a rich sauce, or slice it and add it to a fried egg for an extra-delicious dinner-saver.
Recommended wine
Pair it with a full-bodied red such as Tintilia from Molise: Opalia Tintilia or AE Tintilia.
Tintilia is also great for cooking “drunken sausage”:
- sauté chopped onion and carrots in a drizzle of olive oil
- add the sausage
- pour in a glass of wine and finish cooking until the pan juices reduce.
