The scamorze passite of Agnone are a spun paste cheese with a spherical shape with a head.
They are straw yellow in color and have a sweet and intense flavor. They are ideal for grilling or baking.
Suggestions for storing and tasting Molise cheeses:
- keeping Molise cheese at the right temperature is essential in order to keep its organoleptic characteristics intact and appreciate the quality of the product;
- fresh Molisian cheeses must be kept in the refrigerator at 2°/4° C, whereas seasoned and semi-matured Molisian cheeses must be kept at temperatures between 8/10° C.
Once the package has arrived, take the cheese out of the package in which it is being shipped and store it in the refrigerator under vacuum.
Consume it within the indicated expiration dates.
In order to fully enjoy its flavor and fully reveal its organoleptic characteristics, one hour before being consumed, scamorze di Agnone must be removed from the refrigerator, unwrapped and allowed to oxygenate.
