They can be considered similar to other legumes such as: lentils, beans
They are energetic foods, thanks to the abundance of starch, as well as being rich in proteins.
They are mainly eaten boiled with or without pasta, in soups or other brothy mixed dishes, dry as side dish or in salads.
Also in form of puree or cream.
