Salsiccia Piccante Sotto Sugna is made from selected Italian pork raised and slaughtered at the producer's plant in Molise.
It is preserved inside glass jars by adding lard which, as it cools, solidifies, taking on its characteristic white color.
The latter gives the sausage greater softness; the color and taste remain unchanged, allowing this sausage with its unique taste and characteristics to be enjoyed for a long time.
Salsiccia Piccante Sotto Sugna is excellent for making a quick sauce. It is often eaten in Molise to accompany it with a good cheese and some Tintilia wine from Molise.
Its processing involves the use of hot pepper. The degree of spiciness is acceptable. Among the benefits of hot pepper we can mention the ability to reduce bad cholesterol, antioxidant properties, improves circulation due to vasodilatory properties and also has digestive effects.
It is one of the most consumed and popular sausages, very versatile as it can be eaten barbecued, sliced, to prepare gravy and in rustics.
