Tintilia of Molise

AE is the name given by the producer to Tintilia, red wine of Molise DOC 2016.

Symbol of the territory of Molise and in particular of the province of Isernia (Aesernia).

The Tintilia, without tinsel given by the wood, where the maturation in cement raises the fruity and spicy quota typical of the grape variety.

In high definition we have red currant, kumquat, pepper and woodland scrub.

It can be drunk without too much delay, it has a very pleasing breadth and length of fruit.

Drink it at 16 degrees, your ego will thank you.

The tintilia on the nose is complex and persistent with scents that recall balsamic herbs and ripe red berries.

Full-bodied, rightly tannic.

CURIOSITY

Tintilia vine is an autochthonous black berry present exclusively in Molise.

It is enrolled in the National Register of wine grape varieties as a variety authorized only for Molise.

It seems that its name derives from "tinta", that is the intense ruby red colour of its musts, which take on violet, almost black, tones.
